The old torpedo battery Sørviknes in the Trondheimsfjord is for sale for NOK 30 million.
- I have used the property for leisure and recreation. We bought it in 2003, says Vidar Dyrendahl to the Defense Forum.
The property is around 97 acres, including 400 meters of coastline and access to a private beach. Also included is a quay, a bunker facility of 400 square metres, as well as several smaller bunkers.
According to the magazine, Sørvikne's torpedo battery was built by the Germans as an extension of the original Agdene fortifications to prevent the enemy from penetrating through the Trondheimsfjord. The torpedo battery was built in connection with a corresponding torpedo facility at Hambåra on the other side of the fjord.
